Ma मा
A Sacred Immersion with the Living Goddess at the Foothills of the Himalayas
14 - 20th November 2026
Rishikesh & Haridwar, India
There is a river that has been calling your name long before you learned to listen. She is the Ganga and she is waiting for you.
This November, join us for six nights of deep devotion in the holy cities of Rishikesh and Haridwar - two of the most sacred sites on earth, nestled where the mountains meet the plains and the river meets the sky.
Ma is an immersive retreat for those ready to soften into the presence of the Divine Mother - to be held, stripped open, and returned to yourself.
Imagine yourself in one of the holiest cities at the foothills of the Himalayas, where Ma Ganga runs cold and clear from her glacial source and the air itself feels charged with centuries of prayer. Rishikesh and Haridwar have drawn seekers home for thousands of years not as a destination, but as a doorway to something deeper and subtle.
This journey is intentionally small and slow. There is no performance of spirituality here, only the real thing: Ganga aarti on the ghats, silence held in ashram courtyards, the particular hush that settles over a body when it remembers it is allowed to rest in something bigger than itself.
We come to surrender the roles we perform in our daily lives, the pace we've normalized, the noise we've mistaken for aliveness and to receive what only Ma can give: Remembrance.. of the sacred feminine as a living current, not a concept. Of devotion as a practice of the body, not just the mind. Of belonging to something ancient that has been waiting for us all along.
Expect daily ritual and puja, teachings rooted in Bhakti and the goddess traditions, time on the Ganga's banks, and long stretches of unstructured stillness. You will be held and guided by two experienced facilitators and guides.
What makes this different is what it doesn't try to be. This isn't a curated instagram version of India - it's an honest, devotional encounter with a living tradition, offered in a small enough group that you'll actually be seen, and structured with enough spaciousness that you'll actually arrive.
You don't need experience with India, sanskrit, or goddess work to come. You need only the willingness to be undone a little, an open curious heart and mind and flexibility to go with the flow and ride the current of the goddess.
A Call of the Heart
this is for you if...
you feel the call to pause - to step out of the momentum of your life and let yourself simply arrive and to go on an adventure of a lifetime
you are ready to soften, to release the armor of doing, achieving, holding it all together, and let yourself be met in presence instead.
you are longing to reconnect with the sacred - not as an idea, but as something felt in the body, in the breath, in the quiet between words.
you have felt the pull of India for awhile and are scared to go alone. You feel the call of Ma Ganga, of devotion itself, of something ancient and alive calling you home to a part of yourself you haven't visited in a long time.
If any of this stirs something in you, we invite you to trust it. Listen to hat stirring that is Ma - the living goddess.. calling you to come meet here at the foothills of the Himalayas

Where we’ll be staying
We'll be held in comfort at a boutique hotel tucked in Tapovan, just steps from Laxman Jhula and the banks of the Ganga. This is not an ashram - it's a tranquil, upscale oasis built to let you actually rest between ceremonies and activities.
Private rooms open to sweeping views of the Ganges and the Himalayan foothills beyond, so you can wake with the mountains already in view. There's a rooftop yoga shala for our morning practice, and an organic in-house restaurant serving thoughtfully prepared, cross-cultural cuisine.
It's quiet enough to hold stillness, and close enough to the heart of Tapovan - its cafes, markets, and ghats - that india still feels within reach whenever you want it. Clean, safe, and cared for, this is where the outer journey gets to soften into the inner one.

The Flow
Seven days moving between ceremony, stillness, and the ganga herself. We open with a welcome ceremony and sunset dinner at our favourite Ayuvedic restaurant by the river, then settle into rhythm - daily yoga and meditation, journaling, temple visits, ganga aarti, and evenings of kirtan. Midweek we journey to a mystical riverside cave to meditate and bathe in her waters, and to Haridwar to visit a Kali temple and Ma Anandamayi's ashram. A sunrise trek into the hills, a day of white water rafting, and an Agni Hotra fire ceremony before we close in circle together and say goodbye.
